High Chaparral's "Manolito" shares his secret thoughts and dreams!

If you were not an actor, what would you have been?
At one time I considered becoming an interpreter for  the United Nations.

What do you daydream about?
I think about the year 2000 -- and hope that many of the things that are wrong with the world today will have changed for the better!

Has making money changed your life in any way?
It sure has!  I've got a lot more debts now!

What girl in the whole world would you like to meet?
I met her quite some time ago.  She's my wife Luci.

Do people ever tease you about having long hair?
Not very often.  But when they do, I tell them to cool it.

What was your very first ambition?
I've wanted to be an actor ever since I was a little boy.

What are your favorite sports?
I like to bowl whenever I can -- and I'm a terror with a ping-pong paddle.  I've got a great serve!

What kind of music do you like to listen to?
I'm partial to Latin music.  It turns me on!

What would you do if you inherited a million dollars?
I'd try to find a tax loophole or two so that I could keep it!

Where would you like to spend a vacation?
I'd like to sped a little time in Puerto Rico.  I was born there and miss it sometimes.

What was the biggest thrill of your life?
I think it was the birth of my first child, Denise.  It was quite a moment!

Of all the actors you've worked with, who is your favorite?
I think the late Dick Powell was a wonderful man and a good, good actor.

How do you relax?
Usually, I don't.  I find a nap on the beach and a quick dip the closest thing to it.

Do you have a favorite TV show?
I love to watch all the old movies.

Do you have any regrets?
Doesn't everyone?  My biggest regret is that I didn't teach my two children how to speak Spanish.

What kind of people do you like best?
I like all kinds of people.  I think I like outgoing and non-moody types best, though.

When are you happiest?
I'm a pretty happy guy all the time -- but I'm happiest when I'm working!

Are you ever moody or temperamental?
Nobody is perfect!  Sure I am, but I get over it fast.

Do you have a nickname?
Some of my friends call me "Chico."

What are your plans for the future?
I hope that High Chaparral runs for at least another five years -- then I'd like to try my hand at producing and directing.
